Bingo & Soup n’ Pudding
Wednesday 3rd November 2010

The Youth Club kicked off its series of monthly social events with a prize bingo night, preceded by soup and pudding.  Live entertainment was provided by singers Rebecca Macdonald and Eilidh Cormack, and accordionist Ceitidh Douglas.

The event was filmed by the BBC for their programme The Great British Menu, with the theme of food that linked communities.  Chef Michael Smith from The Three Chimney’s restaurant made an appearance, but was outshone in a Pavlova bake-off by local baker, Rhona Macdonald.  The programme is due to be aired in April 2011.

Many thanks to all those who attended and supported the event.  Thanks also to Rebecca, Eilidh and Ceitidh.

A Car Boot sale raised £155 for the Red Cross Haiti Fund. Thanks to Wilma Macdonald & Mary Moir for organising the event. The Youth club raised £140 on the same day for club funds.

A Ladies Clothes swap event raised over £360 for the British Heart Foundation.  Thanks to organiser Rhona Cairns.
